A CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION

As I celebrate my birthday I decided to go for  a baby doll dress because of the doll nature.

Do U like to celebrate your birthday?

I think life should be celebrated, no matter what we are going through, just take time out to party with friends and family cos life is too short.

It is good to be thankful for what you have in life and what you have accomplished we must appreciate the fruit of life, which is birth itself.

Birth is your beginning, it is the chance to fullfill your mission in life.

That is why birthday is a momentous occasion and should be celebrated.

It is a chance to remember the day a major event occurred. It is a time to rethink your life. A time to recall a new beginning, no matter how things were yesterday or last year we can always try again or take a jump into a new adventure, with this baby doll dress I take a jump into a new adventure as I celebrate my birthday.

This is one outfit you don’t want to miss in your wardrobe.

If it is a new thing in your wardrobe you must have fun with it since fashion is FUN right.

You can make it more feminine by wearing  an awesome pump.

Keep jewellery, make up and other accessories to a minimum not to overwhelm the look.

BEING A MOTHER IS THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT

A woman is the center of the universe because of her nurturing nature.

She becomes a mother the very moment she opens her heart to the idea of loving and caring for a child. It is in that very moment that her Mother heart begins to blossom.

It is also a wonderful, rewarding, messy, noisy, and sometimes crazy ride but it is all worth it.

Since mother day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family as well as motherhood and the influence of mother in the society.
It is nice that as a mother we reflect on the overwhelming love we get from our kids. It is priceless, for me my son shows me a lot of love that words cannot explain. I am so blessed to have him in my life.

For mother day he gave me a gift where he put a lot of taught into it this brought me tears of joy and happiness.

I am so blessed to experience the feeling of motherhood.

For this great day there is nothing wrong if you go extra mile to put an effort on your mother day look.

It is important to take some time to wear something really feminine and beautiful while taking the kids out of lunch or dinner.

Since everyone is making effort to make you look like a QUEEN it is also nice if you embrace it too.

Don’t you want to look gorgeous in all those pictures everyone will be snapping?

I know you DO

So put on that gorgeous dress and DAZZEL in it.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

XOXO

LILIS BOUTIQUE ZOTTEGEM

Is not just a coffee house but a place where you can buy your vintage and new outfit , it is  a boutique for the fusion of old and new.

Mrs Lilian started  Lilis boutique  in 2016. She is originally from Oostende West Vlaanderen Belgium.

She found the love of her life in Zottegem and came to live here, so we can say that Zottegem is the city of Love, the Verona of Belgium.

We admire her courage as a mother of 5 children she still has the strength to combine taking care of the kids and running her business this is because she is very energetic and ambitious.

She is a woman who love people and also want to serve her community that is why she started this concept of business where there is a coffee shop inside the boutique.

This concept is new in Zottgem it originated from the Netherlands, but it is highly welcome, the reason for this is that when men go shopping with their wive or girlfriend most of the time they find it boring but with a coffee house inside the boutique she used one stone to kill two birds.

Men can drink coffee or sip wine while their lady shops.

The vintage collection help a lot of the women to get their dream outfit.

You know that feeling of having your dream item. This bring a smile to your face.
Let’s not pretend, not everybody can afford a luxury brand but the vintage gives a chance to own one.

Hello fashionista are you feeling me on this, I know u do of course.

It is also a shop for look chic for less, that is shopping without breaking the budget.

Looking fabulous on a dime is that your thing then you are at the right address Heldenlaan 16 Zottegem.

I know some of you dream of vintage Louis Vuitton handbag this is a place you can get it.

Are u a lover of delvaux handbag if yes you are welcome.

Mrs Lilian goal is to put a smile on your face and to see her client happy this has help her grow her business because her client are satisfied, so they keep coming back.

THE EASTER BUNNY

THE EASTER BUNNY

Easter is a Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The origin of the Easter bunny is a mystery.

Some say it originated from a pagan tradition of the festival of Eostre, the goddess of fertility where the animal symbol is known to be a bunny.

The rabbit knows to have high energetic breeding capacity, which symbolizes fertility.

The eggs represent new life.

Decorating the eggs for Easter started in 13th century, the German immigrant brought it to America and it later spread to other countries.

Children are very excited about the Easter eggs that they often leaves carrot for the bunny who brings the eggs incase she get hungry.

Happy Easter

LIFE IS A FESTIVAL

Easter is the time to rejoice and be thankful for the gift of life, love and joy.

When choosing your Easter outfit, it is important to keep colour, comfort and location in mind.

For your Easter outfit you can choose spring colours which reflect the colour of the blooming trees and flowers of the spring.

You would also choose the colour that flatter your skin tone.

It is also important to choose shoes which you are comfortable in and a bit edgy.

You also have to bear in mind where  your Easter event is going to take place so that you dont over dress or undress.

The more you celebrate and praise yourseif the more there is to celebrate.

During Easter period family visit each other and take time to do things together and for the children it is extra special because they get to pick Easter eggs and children like this a lot.

This is also the period for the christian to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christian believes that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead the third day after his death on the cross, that through this Jesus paid for their sins, so this festival is highly celebrated by the Christian.

It is also an opportunity to dress gorgeous and look beautiful, so choose an outfit that look good on you.

Accessorize your Easter outfit to complement your personal style.

When Fur comes to mind you will be thinking of glamour, extravagance, vintage and celebrities.

Fur keeps you warm in the harsh winter months but a lot of people feel cruel and unfair about the danger to innocent animals that is why faux fur exist for people who dont want to have this feeling of guilt or empty their bank account.

There are a lot of ways to incorporate faux fur in your wardrobe.

LE BERGER HOTEL BRUSSEL

Le berger is a very lovely hotel in the center of Brussel with a historical art deco. It is 300m from the metro station so it is very easy accessible with public transport.

There is an Italian restuarant and bar.

For this shoot we wanted to go back in time to see how the people from this era lived and the economic situation.

THE 1930 ECONOMY CRASH FANTASY BOOM

The depression of the 30s did not affect everyone the same way. Many rich people felt no impact at all, and were blind for the suffering of others.

The 30s were the beginning of the ready to wear fashion age. During the 1930s great depression companies started researching and implementing cheaper means of clothing manufacturing.

Clothing style were less extravagant, but the shapes of these dresses were designed to show off a woman most feminine features- most of the dresses were either slightly gathered or pleated.

The ideal 30s woman was tall and slender with a very small waist and narrow hips. Since most women were not blessed with slim hips and a small waist, shoulders were exaggerated with puff sleeves.

Ready to wear became popular because clothing could be mass produced .During this era the zipper became a standard in the finishing of garments because they cost less than buttons.

A woman would not wear her house dress out of the house, to shop, run errands. she would need a smart afternoon or day dress.

Characteristic of fashion in the 30s

  • shoulder pads were frequently used to broaden and square the shoulder of dresses
  • For women in business a well tailored suit was a must
  • Silky dresses became more popular
  • Empire waisted lines which were tied in the back were popular
  • Women usually wore gloves outside the house. The gloves would be worn to match their shoes and handbags
  • Makeup such as rouge and lipstick was frequently used to brighten pale faces
  • Women tended to keep their hair fairly short
  • Artificial eyelashes were popular
  • Wool, silk and cotton were the most popular fabrics for women’s’ fashion

Being on a tight budget was no excuse for sloppy fashion. It was considered a woman’s duty to shop smart.

Women who could feed and dress her family on a dime were praised. They were considered a good steward of the husbands money.
